Scope: Concept Design, Interior Design Development, Tender and Construction Documentation

This fit out for the Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane occupies two levels of the former BOQ building at 229 Elizabeth Street in the Brisbane CBD. Their aim was to consolidate various departments located across separate locations into their newly acquired building. TVS architects undertook a detailed audit of their existing facilities and developed a comprehensive briefing document. By working closely with the client and the various area representatives we were able to understand their needs & fulfil their requirements. TVS assisted with the change management process, ensuring a smooth transition into the new open plan environment.

The fitout involved the design of new reception areas on each level, executive boardroom, large kitchen/staff area, numerous meeting rooms, resource areas, offices and over a hundred workstations across the two levels. The colour palette and the selected finished were carefully considered to represent the catholic ethos. Neutral tones, timber veneers, hardwood were used extensively to create timeless effect. This selection of finishes also compliments the extensive art collection exhibited across the two levels.
